We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the Service:
- Account information: name, email, password (stored hashed), role, and date of birth used to verify our age requirement.
- Parent/guardian contact: for athletes aged 16–17, the email of a consenting parent or guardian.
- Profile content: school, sport, position, graduation year, GPA (optional), bio, photos, highlight videos, stats, achievements, and experience entries.
- Usage data: profile views, device/browser information, and log data such as IP address.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never store your full card details.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and operate your account and public profile.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To run automated content moderation that keeps the platform safe.
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To communicate with you about your account and, where permitted, product updates.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
3. Content Moderation & Automated Processing
To protect our community—which includes minors—text and images you submit are analyzed by automated content-moderation technology to detect offensive or inappropriate material. This processing is necessary to provide a safe Service and to enforce our Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting, storage, payment processing, and content-moderation infrastructure), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. Content you choose to make public on your profile is visible to anyone with the link.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete content or request account deletion at any time; some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most information directly in your account settings, including your profile’s public/private status and notification preferences. 7. Children & Minors
KithSports is not intended for anyone under 16. For athletes aged 16–17, we require parent or guardian consent at sign-up and process their information with care appropriate to their age.
