This Data & Upload Policy explains what you may upload to KithSports, who owns it, and how your media and data are stored and removed. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
1. What You Can Upload
KithSports lets you upload highlight videos (or link to videos on YouTube, Vimeo, or Hudl), profile and thumbnail images, and add text such as your bio, stats, achievements, and experience. You may only upload content that:
- You own or have permission to use.
- Genuinely relates to you as an athlete and your athletic record.
- Complies with our Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines.
2. Ownership & License
You keep ownership of everything you upload. To operate the Service, you grant KithSports a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content for the purpose of showing it on your profile and running the platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already legitimately shared or where retention is required by law.
3. Thumbnails & Media Processing
When you link a video, we may automatically detect and display its thumbnail (for example, from a YouTube URL). When you upload media directly, files are stored securely with our cloud storage provider. Videos and images you submit are analyzed by automated moderation before publication, as described in our Community Guidelines.
4. Storage & Security
Uploaded files are stored on reputable cloud infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please keep copies of any media that is important to you.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete individual videos, images, and other content from your dashboard at any time. Deleting your account removes your public profile and associated content from the Service. Some information may be retained for a limited period where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements (for example, records relating to a banned account).
6. Takedown Requests
If you believe content on KithSports infringes your rights or was uploaded without your consent, contact us at [email protected] with details of the content and your relationship to it. We will review and remove infringing content where appropriate.
7. Minors' Data
For athletes aged 16–17, a parent or guardian must consent during sign-up. Parents or guardians may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data. See our Privacy Notice for more detail.
